Composition

Key ingredient: oak bark (Quercus cortex); 1 pack contains 50 g of oak bark (Quercus cortex).

Main physical and chemical properties:

Dried, curved, and wrinkled pieces of bark from freshly harvested young shoots up to 6 mm thick, passing through a 7 mm mesh sieve. The outer surface is light gray or greenish-gray, usually smooth, less often with lenticels. The inner surface is pale brown or reddish-brown with longitudinal grooves. Fracture is brittle and fibrous. Odor is weak, specific, and intensifies when the bark is moistened with water. Taste is strongly astringent.

The biologically active substances of the drug have astringent, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic effects.

Indications

Stomatitis, gingivitis, periodontosis, pharyngitis, tracheitis, and other inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and throat (as part of combination therapy).
